my reading bucket list

When I was growing up, I read books like they were going out of style. I used to get overwhelmed by how many books there were at the library, taking out a dozen at a time and begging my mom to let me stay up an hour (or three) after my bedtime to I could keep consuming literature.

Then in high school, I stopped reading for fun. I had so much reading to do for school that I didn’t have time to read for pleasure…and reading became a dreaded assignment instead of a hobby. Recently, I’ve been pushing myself to pick up a book every once in a while, and I’ve begun to remember why I enjoyed reading so much. One of my favorite sites, Man Repeller, has put out a lot of great book round-ups, so kudos to them for the literary inspo.
