What better pin-spiration topic for January than health?! None of my resolutions this year were particularly health-focused, but I always have the desire for a healthier lifestyle in the back of my mind. Or, I think about it while I’m eating pizza. I’m getting ready for a charitable bike ride in June (I did it last year, too!) and am getting increasingly concerned with my longevity. Whether it’s skin care or an improved diet, here are some pins inspiring me this month.
I’m not a huge fan of the cold weather, but I love this time of year since I can get working on my winter bod. When going outside requires over three layers of clothing, I start eating soup and baked goods almost exclusively. And my favorite Christmas treat of all? The cookies, DUH!
Whether they’re festively frosted sugar cookies, chocolate-dipped macaroons, or crumbly shortbread, I love ‘ em all. Here, take a mouthwatering look at some of my 2017 holiday cookie inspo.

After living in dormitories and New York City apartments for the last 5+ years, I can’t wait for the day when I have a bathroom that nobody uses other than myself. I’m a big fan of white tile, colorful wallpaper, and natural elements – though my main requirement for my future bathroom is a large tub.
From whimsical walls to modern finishes, here are some images I’ve saved on Pinterest.
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays – I love a day that’s all about great food, good company, and all-around coziness. Here, some of my favorite inspiring images (from seasonal bites to muted color palettes) to get you in the holiday mood.
How are you celebrating turkey day this year?
I love interiors – and exteriors, actually. I’m obsessed with HGTV, and one of my most pinned-to boards on Pinterest is “casa,” which holds all of the home inspiration for my one-day house.
Last year, I decided to add a new board totally devoted to all things design. Sitting at a desk all day has caused me to spend more of my free time on creative pursuits, whether it’s actually putting an outfit together in the morning other than jeans and a t-shirt, or taking advantage of pay-what-you-wish museum days (I’ve recently gone to the Guggenheim and the Neue Galerie!).
So, this post is dedicated to striking design: beautiful millennial pink chairs, bold typeface, bright patterns, and an ombré staircase. It’s a feast for the eyes!
My bedroom is important to me. I never shared a room until I went to college, and couldn’t wait to go back to having my own space when I graduated. I chose the Brooklyn apartment I lived in last summer because the bedroom was enormous, sunny, and under budget, and my current place because even though the bedroom is teeny tiny, there’s a large window and built-in shelving.
As a freelance writer, I do a lot of work from home. And since I also work 40 hours a week in an office, I don’t feel like I actually spend that much time in my room–so I value cozy mornings alone, powering through work on my bedroom floor. All this being said, I definitely am still dreaming about my perfect bedroom. Here’s some inspo c/o Pinterest.
Call me Joey Tribbiani, but I love a good sandwich. Sandwiches are perfect any time of day–eat one with a cup of coffee for breakfast, a bag of chips for lunch, and a bowl of tomato soup for dinner. One of my all-time favorite sammies is a classic caprese–lots of garlicky pesto, melty mozzarella, and thin slices of tomato. I’m also ALWAYS down for a quality veggie burger, as long as it doesn’t have mushrooms in it. These are some of my favorite foodie finds on Pinterest…check the rest out here!
